Beau Desert AM-AM

The forecast was dire.  The drive up to Cannock Chase was depressing.

But there's an old saying: Rain before seven fine before eleven.  And it certainly came true!  The first group went up to the tee with brollies up.  When they got to the tee the rain had stopped and the brollies went down.

The rest of the day was payed in sunshine.  The true heathland at Beau drains very quickly and the fairways and greens played well.  With only ten teams there were prizes to third place.

Martin Dunn skippered a new-look team to third.  Included in the team was Steve Faulkner who was jumping for joy after hhis round following a phone call informing him he had just become a grandpa.

Two young quality golfers who have taken a shine to Teetours are Ryan Barnhurst and Ryan Nicholls; they made up a team with Phil Johnson and a barely needed ProScore to come second with 90 points.  Spraying champagne over the crowd was Gary Haslam's team with 91.
